The feast of St. Martin in Venice

Yesterday was the Summer of St. Martin, a day long awaited by the children of Venice, celebrated since the early hours of the day, in their way pleasantly noisy. The festival is documented by us Fausto , via his blog very well cared for, Alloggi Barbaria blogspot.
At his prior permission disclose it in full, including photographs, which, for reasons due to my lack of technical skills, find a location diversa rispetto alla fonte originaria.

A dire il vero la Festa di San Martino anche a Venezia ha risentito del momento economico not exciting, then the children have received many more fresh coins. As mentioned the Feast of San Martino is celebrated only by children. There has been so since the morning and going to school (accompanied by their teachers) on the streets of Venice in search of normal shops or bakeries are willing to pay the duty at the party. In the afternoon and into the evening instead of groups of children were smaller but more noisy, accompanied by their parents are very happy to renew their children through the customs of this ancient festival. La Festa di San Martino was celebrated in the Campo dei Frari, with an impressive gathering of adults and children illuminated by colored lamps. Again in the evening pastries and bars in the city exposed in their windows the typical sweet of San Martino, some as large as half display (see photo below). At the end of the day the children went home exhausted but happy. In their pockets many cakes and sweets and some money, as tradition dictates.
